Funding and Donations

Fairhaven Garden Trust is an independent charity (No. 265686) dedicated to preserving and managing a stunning 130 acre ancient woodland estate with a private conservation broad. Our work is entirely funded through visitor admissions, memberships, donations, and grants.

 

Regular visitors will notice our ongoing efforts to enhance wildlife habitats through:

• Responsible woodland management

• New planting schemes

• Installation of wildlife boxes and feeding stations

• Ensuring accessibility for all visitors

 

Major projects, such as the restoration of the Boat House and the installation of bird hides, are made possible through grant funding.

 

Looking ahead, we have several ambitious plans, including:

• Upgrading our accessible pleasure boats

• Restoring the island in the Broad

• Expanding education, outreach, and engagement initiatives

• Developing a wheelchair-accessible pathway to the quay for boat trips

• Renewing our fleet of mobility scooters

• Creating a versatile space for learning, events, and interactive activities
