Boat trips

Trips run daily starting from 30th March 2025, weather permitting, on our private broad and up the river Bure past the ruins of St. Benets Abbey

 

Our traditional Edwardian style river cruiser 'Primrose' operates daily, running 20 minute and 50 minute trips.

 

In addition to 'Primrose', our pontoon boat 'Primula' is an easily accessible boat (with a ramp when required).

Available upon request from April to July and daily during school holidays.

It's important to us that you have an enjoyable visit with us so please take note of a few points below....

Our boat trips run from within the garden so please make sure you have a valid garden entry ticket (or membership) when purchasing boat trip tickets.

​

It is a 700 yard, or 20 minute gentle stroll down to the boat, please make sure you arrive at the ticket office at least half an hour before your scheduled trip to allow sufficient time to check in at the ticket office and get to the boat.

If you require our accessible boat please do contact us in advance so we can manage our numbers accordingly, we sometimes run only one boat so will need to give our skippers time to switch over.

Private tours and longer trips can be booked in advance upon request.

**  Please note, we are in the processes of some major quay heading works due to the extremely high Winter tides over the last 2 years.  You may find parts of the staithe may be closed off for maintenance or 'resting', or perhaps that the boats are loading from a different side of the staithe so access may be different from usual.  If you have any concerns or requests please do contact us before your planned day of visit.  **
