Boat trips
Trips run daily, weather permitting, starting from April until the end of October on our private broad and along the river Bure past the ruins of St. Benet's Abbey
Our traditional Edwardian style river cruiser 'Primrose' operates daily, running 20 minute and 50 minute trips.
In addition to 'Primrose', our pontoon boat 'Primula' is an easily accessible boat (with a ramp when required). Available upon request from April to July and daily during school holidays.

Our boat trips run from within the garden so please make sure you have a valid garden entry ticket (or membership) when purchasing boat trip tickets.
Our boat trips usually depart from within the gardens at the quay heading, however, during 2026 this area will be closed.
All departures will instead take place from the viewing platform, clearly marked on the map provided when you check in. Please follow the signage on route and allow plenty of time for your journey. We recommend arriving at the ticket office at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure to allow time to present your tickets and walk to the boat.
If you require our accessible boat, please contact us in advance so we can plan accordingly. As we may operate only one boat at times, advance notice is essential to allow our skippers time to prepare and make any necessary adjustments.
If you require our accessible boat please contact us in advance so we can manage our numbers accordingly, we sometimes run only one boat so will need to give our skippers time to switch over.
