Salary £23,000 - Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

We’re looking for 2 passionate, enthusiastic Chefs to join our tight knit team. We are offering 1 role 5 days per week and 1 role 2 days per week.  Both roles will require at least one weekend day. Both successful applicants will need to have outstanding communication skills to arrange specific handover notes and to communicate the happenings during their on-shift days to aid successful planning.  The majority of shifts will be day time, but occasional evenings to assist with events will be required.


What the job involves:

  • Creating a vibrant, manageable menu which delivers quality in presentation and execution.

  • Daily meal preparation.

  • Baking cakes for the tearoom.

  • Liaising with suppliers to order the stock necessary for the day.

  • Management of all required health and hygiene paperwork in accordance with local authority health and hygiene visits.

  • Maintaining a clean working environment during and at the end of your shifts.

  • Preparing buffet food for large group visits. (These will be booked in advance).

  • Some washing up.

  • Developing junior staff.

  • Great team player.

  • Food hygiene certificate required. Allergen certificate ideal but will be provided.

  • Clear knowledge and experience of Food hygiene standards and record keeping.

5 Days a week – 40 hours

2 Days a week – 16 hours + holiday cover

At least one weekend day will be required. Possibly 2 during peak periods.

Overtime may be needed. This will be agreed in advance and paid as normal.

8 hour shifts to be worked between 7am - 6pm during a normal working day. (To be agreed)
